1st Time Homebuyers Program for 2010
In partnership with
Wells Fargo, Capital One, Gilmore Properties, Re/Max
and State Farm
Buying a home is part of the American dream. It is a significant long-term investment that often represents the foundation of our lives, providing financial and emotional security. It is also the largest single transaction most people ever make.
We will provide financial assistance to qualified families who complete the 1st Time Homebuyer Workshops. Incentives of $1,000 to assist with downpayment and closing costs will be provided to qualified purchasers. These funds are in partnership with Wells Fargo, Capital One, Gilmore Properties, Re/Max and State Farm.
Eligibility and Requirements:
· Proof of Income, residency and identity (pay stub, current utility bill, drivers license, birth certificate, tax return)
· $50.00 Registration Fee to AAUL per household
· Proposed purchase of home in Austin/Central Texas region
· Maximum income restrictions apply to be eligible for downpayment assistance
The 1st Time Homebuyers Program Homeownership Classes will:
- Educate you on the process of finding and purchasing a home
- Teach you budget management so that you are ready to purchase and maintain a home
- Provide a $1,000 grant to assist with closing costs upon successful completion of class!

The Austin Area Urban League, incorporated on August 12, 1977, stands proudly as it takes its place among the 115 affiliates of the National Urban League. Although 33 years have passed since its creation, the Austin Area Urban League continues to hold fast to our original mission; one which guides our outreach, programming, partnerships and advocacy.
